The Orange County Register’s Fast Food Maven reports that El Pollo Loco is testing fish tacos at a couple of their locations and they actually come in two varieties: Classic Baja and Spicy Avocado.

Smoky Mountain Black Bean Burrito

This used to be a regular menu item originally called the Smoky Mountain Black Bean Burrito then the Smoky Black Bean Burrito then the Black Bean Burrito and then they got rid of it altogether when they stopped serving black beans for anything at El Pollo Loco. Then they brought black beans back under the radar and now you can get this burrito again. But they are not likely to know what you are talking about if you say Smoky Mountain Black Bean Burrito so now ask for a “BRC Burrito substitute black beans.”
